A Blueprint for Building Quality Participation in Sport for Children and Youth with Intellectual Disabilities was developed in partnership with the CDPP and Special Olympics Canada. The Blueprint provides evidence-based strategies for building quality participation in sport programs specifically for children and youth with intellectual disabilities.

An Audit Tool, in the form of an Excel file Audit Tool_CDPP SOC Blueprint.xlsx, is available to help determine potential strategies to consider implementing within a sport program.
Part of the research evidence supporting the Blueprint is described in Knowledge Translation Bulletin #8: Fostering Quality Participation for Children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. A Researcher Guide to Knowledge Translation and Infographic outline the multi-step process for adapting the Blueprint for Building Quality Participation in Sport and are available to help guide researchers through the process of tailoring the Blueprint to local contexts.
